Designer (2+ Years of Experience Required)


The Interior Designer evaluates, selects, and performs in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the interior design process,

including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, design development, contract documents, renderings, and

construction administration activities within an established budget, schedule, site, and programmatic requirements.



o Bachelor/ Master’s Degree from an accredited Interior Design/ Architecture program

o Degrees must come from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or NAAB-accredited Architecture program



o Minimum 2-8 years of experience in hospitality or residential Interior Design

o Current registration with NCIDQ or state architectural licensing board strongly preferred

o Experience with LEED projects, LEED AP certification preferred



o Independently performs assignments following instructions given by Senior Designers/ Associates

o Under minimal supervision and guidelines, finds solutions to design and technical challenges within large projects

o Ensures daily tasks are completed and helps to supervise Junior Designers/ Interns

o Develops design solutions in a broader context through collaborative efforts involving outside consultants

o Displays confidence in developing preliminary client interaction and seeks to develop industry relationships

o Implements design into CAD format (AutoCAD) and presentation materials

o Assists in all coordination efforts required to produce a set of Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications;

namely the research, communication, and documentation required to execute the project effectively



o Motivated self‐starter with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative, open studio environment

o Successfully contributes to multiple projects with varying responsibilities in a fast paced environment

o Organized, detail‐oriented, and thorough work style demonstrating pride and ownership in the quality of work

o Possesses a strong understanding of design principles and theory

o Interested in all areas of design including interior design, interior architecture, furniture design, accessorizing,

and graphic design

o Displays strong creative interior design skills including concept development, hand sketching, and selection of colors,

materials, finishes and furniture

o Overall knowledge of the design process, including design documentation, FF&E specifications, color, materials,

and finishes



o Modestly experienced in interior architectural development, construction detailing, and finish selection

o Strong experience in furniture design and specification writing

o Superior skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign

o Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

o Knowledge of SketchUp and Revit is desirable
