The Project: A discrete and intimate bar located on the casino floor of the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Goal: To create a charming and intriguing destination bar that would offer an escape from the noise and energy of a Las Vegas casino.
Our Solution: Our design drew from the muse of the envisioned character Rosina. The prohibition-era socialite who travelled often and lived well. Her luxurious lifestyle, well appointed living spaces and coyly seductive personality inspired the details of our design and narrative. Every piece of the brand was considered from the point of view of Rosina's tastes and inclinations.

The Project: An adaptive reuse hotel in the former Detroit Fire Department headquarters, located in downtown Detroit.

The Goal: To create a brand that could embody the resurgent spirit of Detroit's people, and serve as a foundation for the community for many years to come.
Our Solution: We wanted to capture the essence of the Motor City. The hotel was meant to be a place that was very much “of Detroit”, of its citizens, and of its spirit. We wanted the brand to inspire, to be a beacon that represented the largest urban renaissance in American history. Infused with elements of design from Detroit’s golden age, the municipal and utilitarian styling of city hall typewritten memos and budgets, inspired by the artifacts left by the fire department’s offices in the building.

The Project: Three-meal restaurant on the ground floor of the Detroit Foundation Hotel.
Services: Concept, Naming, Logo & Identity, Collateral, Uniforms
The Goal: Create a unique and memorable brand that would integrate into the Detroit Foundation Hotel brand while maintaining a strong identity of its own.
Our Solution: Named for the fire department’s apparatus room, where the fire engines were housed, the brand is a celebration of the building’s history. The logo, a figure of a phoenix rising from the flames, was inspired by the friezes on the building’s facade. It is emblematic of Detroit’s motto “Resurget Cineribus” (rise from the ashes). Charred blacks and greys convey a smoky atmosphere, with copper detailing to highlight historic elements.

The Goal: To bring an engergetic brand to the Marina Bay Sands with enough unique personality to stand out amidst the many food & beverage venues on property.
Our Solution: Based on our interior design concept of “the intersection of nature and geometry” we based our brand on Japanese poetry. Renku is a form of collaborative haiku in which each poet adds to the verse. Poetic handling of typography, and unique tactile materials elevate the brand above the mundane.

The Goal: To create a unique experience that would stand out against the crowded brand landscape of universal studios food & beverage venues.
Our Solution: Our concept was to build a steampunk (a popular artistic genre of retro-futurism) chocolate factory, whose design focused on story and personality, imagining a history of the factory and its owner. Blending Victorian detail and ornament with steam-powered industrial materials, the design and branding reflect the clockwork intricacy of a time long since committed to nostalgia. The layered details of the brand expression reflect the story and history of the characters we conceptualized.
