Interior Designer
(3+ Years of Experience Required)


The Interior Designer evaluates, selects, performs and manages multiple design teams in a self-directed

manner in all aspects of the interior design process, including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design,

design development, contract documents, renderings and construction administration activities within an established

budget, schedule, site and programmatic requirements.




o   Bachelor/ Master’s Degree from an accredited Interior Design/Architecture program


o   Degrees must come from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or NAAB-accredited Architecture program




o   Minimum 3 years of experience in custom, creative hospitality design


o   Current registration with NCIDQ or state architectural licensing board strongly preferred


o   Experience with LEED® projects, LEED® AP certification preferred


o   Knowledge of construction materials, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) specifications/ providers, particularly

as applicable to hospitality design




o   Prepares preliminary design concepts and alternatives for review by senior management


o   Leads the selection of FF&E materials, space planning and programming for design projects


o   Prepares drawings and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents,

and FF&E specification phases


o   Leads design efforts and coordination with consultants throughout the design process




o   Organized, detail-oriented and thorough work style exhibiting pride and ownership in the quality of work


o   Seasoned problem solver with exemplary analytical skills


o   Displays confidence in resolving complex technical/design issues, providing guidance to project team




o   Accomplished understanding and display of design principles and theory


o   Skillful in all areas of design of hospitality design, planning, lighting, and operations


o   Displays strong creative interior design skills including concept development and hand sketching


o   Exercises creative judgment and design application skills in preparing client presentation materials including:

graphic sketches, renderings, graphics and selection of colors, materials, finishes and furniture


o   Experienced in all phases and aspects of the design process including predesign, design documentation,

FF&E specifications, construction administration and procurement


o   Advanced understanding of color, materials and finishes




o   Knowledge of building codes, standards and building systems and structures


o   Understands conventional construction methods and techniques and how to document them appropriately


o   Produces AutoCAD and manually generated design drawings including elevations, sections, and details


o   Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook


o   Knowledge of SketchUp and Revit is desirable
